②Roadside Station Tarumizu
About 25 minutes by car from Tsubobatake Information Center.
Roadside Station Tarumizu is located along the coast near Sakurajima.
The kaisen-don (seafood bowl) available at the restaurant is made of yellowtail and kanpachi (yellowtail and amberjack) caught on that day!
The fresh seafood bowl is exceptional while enjoying the view of Sakurajima.
And even though it is a roadside station, you can take a bath in a hot spring!
The admission fee is JPY 350 for adults (junior high school students and older), and JPY 150 for children (elementary school students).
You can enjoy the hot spring with a view of Sakurajima.
The footbath, which is 60 meters long, is free of charge!
This is a great spot to heal your body after a tiring drive!

③Yunohira Observatory
Approximately 30 minutes by car from Michi-no-Eki Tarumizu.
As you drive higher and higher up the mountain road of Sakurajima, you will find the Yunodaira Observatory.
At 373 meters above sea level, it is the highest point on Sakurajima that the public can enter!
The view is spectacular no matter where you look!
You can see the smoke rising from the volcano.
Also, there are seven heart-shaped stones buried in the stone wall of the observatory!
It is said that if you find all seven, you will be happy!
It is said to be very difficult to find all of them but please try to find them!

④Sakurajima Lava Nagisa Park & Footbath
About 15 minutes by car from Yunodaira Observatory.
Sakurajima Lava Nagisa Park & Footbath is located just beyond the Sakurajima Ferry Terminal.
This Sakurajima Lava Nagisa Park has a 100-meter long footbath!
Of course, it is free of chrage.
The park is like a plaza, so you can play ball, tag , and relax with your family in this park.
The Sakurajima Port Ferry Terminal is right next to the park.
You can also see the ferries that come and go between Sakurajima and Kagoshima.

⑤Sakurajima Ferry
The Sakurajima Ferry is a short 15 min trip, but it runs 118 times a day on weekdays and 130 times a day on weekends and holidays.
The ferry runs 24 hours a day, so you can travel back and forth between Kagoshima and Sakurajima even at night!
The fare is also very inexpensive: JPY 200 for adults and JPY 200 for children from 1 year to elementary school age.
Children from 1 year old to elementary school students can ride for JPY 100.
You can also board the ferry with your car, and after driving around Kagoshima, you can board the ferry and drive to Sakurajima.
If you are lucky, you can see wild dolphins in Kinko Bay from the Sakurajima Ferry!
