At what time can I check-in?

A

The check-in time is mainly 5:00 PM for both the ryokan and glamping, though it may vary depending on the room or plan.

For those who wish, early check-in and late check-out are available.

A

Is it possible for a minor alone to make an accommodation booking?

A

Guests can stay overnight if they have written consent from a person with parental authority.
Guests under 18 years of age who stay without a parent or guardian are asked to fill in a parental consent form. Please submit the form to the front desk on the day of check-in.
This applies to guests under 18 years of age at the time of check-in. If you change your age to 18 during your stay, a consent form is required.

Is there a cancellation fee if I cancel?

A

Cancellation charges depend on the number of days before your stay.
Here is the current cancellation policy
For no-shows: 100%.
From the day of the stay to 3 days before: 100%.
4 to 7 days before the day of stay: 50%.
8-14 days prior to stay: 20%.

※The cancellation policy applies at the time of booking.

Guests who have received a cancellation fee will receive a discount coupon for use on their next stay.

In the event of severe weather conditions due to natural disasters such as typhoons, if we determine that our facility is in danger, we may need to cancel your accommodation.
In such cases, we will not charge any cancellation fees.
However, in the event that the guest decides on his/her own to cancel, cancellation fees will be charged as per the normal regulations.

A

Customers who have made a booking via the web should have received a booking completion email from the booking website.
If it is not in your inbox, it may be in your spam folder. Please check to be sure.

Popular dates (e.g. consecutive holidays and weekends) tend to be booked up, so please contact us if you are concerned.

Are medium-size dogs and large dogs allowed to stay?

A

Dogs up to 40 kg in weight are welcome to stay with us. Due to the size of the cages provided, the number of dogs that can stay at one time is limited to one large dog or up to two small to medium-sized dogs.

In addition, depending on the room size, glamping accommodations can accept dogs from small to large breeds, while the Onsen Ryokan Glamping (Room 101) can only accept small dogs.

For dogs of medium size and above (10 kg or more), please use the glamping accommodations.

I will be staying in a room with a sauna, is there anything I should bring?

A

The sauna is equipped with a room, so you can feel free to use it naked, but if you bring your own swimming costume, you can take photos of the sauna and enjoy the sauna together with your group of men and women.

Sauna hats can be borrowed free of charge from the front desk.
They protect your scalp and hair from the heat and also keep your face cool.

Where is the location?

A

Address: 2625 Matsunaga, Hayato, Kirishima city, Kagoshima prefecture
Then you get close to the area, you will see signs and directions to Koshikano onsen at intersections.
If you are unable to set the navigation system properly, you will still be able to find it, so please do not worry about it.

Can I smoke?

A

Smoking is not permitted in the rooms, but there is a smoking area on the site.

Smoking is also permitted in other outdoor areas of the glamping.



The restaurant will be accessible to both smokers and nonsmokers.

Do you do family baths (for day trips)?

A

The family baths (private baths) and the hot spring in the large bathrooms for day trip users were closed in November 2021.
Currently only guests staying at the hotel are welcome to visit.
Thank you for your patronage over the years.

We will continue to offer services that can be enjoyed by our day-trip guests as well, so please continue to enjoy Koshikano onsen.

Can I use Vision’s shareholder benefit voucher?

A

Yes, you can use it.

The shareholder benefit vouchers issued by Vision Inc. (TSE Prime Market, Stock Code: 9416) with a valid expiration date can be used at Bihada no Yu Koshikano Onsen.
The voucher can be used only once, either for Global WiFi or glamping.

What are the local payment options?

We accept cash, various credit cards, IC transportation cards, PayPay, LINE Pay, au Pay, QUICPay, Apple Pay, d Payment, ID, Rakuten Pay, AEON Pay.
Credit cards supported include VISA, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, Diners, Discover, and UnionPay.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

A

Bringing food and drinks is allowed; however, please refrain from bringing them into the dining area of the ryokan. You are welcome to enjoy them in your guest room without any problem.

For guests staying in the glamping facilities, you are free to bring in food and drinks as you wish.

Is it possible to accommodate allergies?

A

Since it is difficult for our facility to respond flexibly to all people's allergies, Please note we do not respond to food allergies, giving top priority to the safety of our customers. We apologize for inconvenience.

If you think you may have left something behind,

A

please confirm your room number and the name under which the reservation was made, and contact us.

Depending on the time, your room may not have been cleaned yet, so your lost item might not have been found immediately. At that moment please gave us some time to check.

Please understand that for hygiene reasons, any perishable items may have been disposed of. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Are there any precautions to take when staying with pets?

A

The following conditions of stay and precautions apply to your stay, and you agree to understand and comply with the following precautions at check-in.
Please note that you must bring proof of vaccination (photocopies or photographs are acceptable) with you at the time of your stay.

◆Terms and conditions of stay
1. Domesticated large, medium and small dogs up to 40 kg
2. Must have been vaccinated against rabies and viral infections (five or more types of mixed vaccine) at least two weeks but less than one year after vaccination
3. Be at least 6 months old
4. Have completed dog registration at a public health centre
5. The pet must be trained to a minimum level so as not to disturb other guests, and must not bark, jump, destroy facilities, etc.
6. In the unlikely event that your pet defecates on the premises, you must clean up after it in a hygienic manner.
7. Have flea and hard tick control measures in place
8. Pets must not be in heat (menstruation) or pregnant

◆Precautions for use
1. Please bring your own leash, collar, pet food, brush and bedding.
2. Please make sure to wipe your pet's feet before entering the room.
3. If you leave your pet alone in your room, please ensure that your dog is contained in an indoor dog kennel.
4. Dogs are not allowed to use public spaces except for the garden
5. Please take care not to damage the building, furniture, fixtures, fittings and other items.
6. if a third party suffers damage from an accompanying pet, you must compensate the third party for the damage.

We reserve the right to refuse accommodation in the event that there is false information in the application, or if the guest or accompanying dog violates any of the above conditions during the stay and causes significant inconvenience, danger or accidents to other guests.
Although we will do our best to accommodate accompanying dogs, we cannot be held responsible for any injuries, escapes or deaths that may occur due to force majeure.

I cannot vaccinate my dog for health reasons. Can I be exempted with a vaccination deferment certificate?

A

Those who have not been vaccinated against rabies are not allowed to stay at the hotel for any reason, but can stay if they present a vaccination deferment certificate for viral contagious diseases (five or more combined vaccines).

The rabies vaccine is mandatory for the safety of other guests and staff. Thank you for your understanding Dogs must be vaccinated against rabies and viral diseases (five or more combined vaccines) at least two weeks and less than one year after vaccination.

Are baby cribs and children's chairs available?

A

We offer high chairs for dining and cribs for sleeping.
Our extensive inventory includes a variety of high chairs and cribs tailored for different needs.
Kindly inform us in advance if you have any specific requests.

Q

If I stay in a pet-friendly room without bringing a pet, will dog amenities still be set up?

A

Some rooms can be prepared without pet cages or amenities for guests not traveling with pets.
In certain rooms, built-in cages remain in place, but thorough deodorizing is always carried out so you can relax and enjoy your stay comfortably.
