①Hirakawa zoo
The first spot is a 60 min drive from Koshikano hot spot and a 50 min drive from Kagoshima airport.
It is a 30 min drive from Kagoshima Chuo station!
The concept of this zoo is "to learn and play happily," and visitors can observe the ecology of the animals and interact with them while having fun in a natural setting surrounded by greenery.
At Hirakawa zoo, visitors can see 136 different species of animals.
The park can be walked around in a circle, and the estimated time required is 2 hours♪
The park is about 3 km long on foot, but you can also take the park bus to go around the park.

②Hirakawa zoo amusement park
Next is an amusement park located on the same site as Hirakawa zoo!
With a single ride ticket (100 yen), you can ride on a merry-go-round, a Ferris wheel, go-carts, a chain tower, and more.
Also, during the "Night Zoo" held by Hirakawa zoo during the summer, you can ride the playground equipment at night, and you can see the night view of Kagoshima city from the Ferris wheel♪

③Kinko Bay park
The next place we will introduce is Kinko Bay park!
Kinko Bay is the name of the bay between the Satsuma peninsula and the Okuma peninsula in Kagoshima prefecture, where Sakurajima is located in the north.
It is located right next to Hirakawa zoo introduced above, and has field athletic facilities, a rose garden, and space-themed playground equipment, allowing both adults and children to enjoy nature and play to their heart's content.
In May, when roses are at their best, the "Kinko Bay Flower Festival" is held, and in summer, a campground is opened where visitors can enjoy BBQ and many other seasonal events are held!

④Sakurajima Ferry
From Kinko Bay park, drive approximately 40 min toward Kagoshima station.
The Sakurajima Ferry terminal connects Kagoshima and Sakurajima Island!
The Sakurajima Ferry is a short 15 min trip, but it runs 118 times a day on weekdays and 130 times a day on weekends and holidays.
The ferry runs 24 hours a day, so you can travel back and forth between Kagoshima and Sakurajima even at night!
The fare is also very inexpensive: JPY 200 for adults and JPY 200 for children from 1 year to elementary school age.
Children from 1 year old to elementary school students can ride for JPY 100.
You can also board the ferry with your car, and after driving around Kagoshima, you can board the ferry and drive to Sakurajima.
If you are lucky, you can see wild dolphins in Kinko Bay from the Sakurajima Ferry!

⑤Sakurajima Nature Dinosaur park
Sakurajima Natural Dinosaur park is located approximately 3 min by car from Sakurajima Ferry.
The park, which covers an area of about 50,000 square meters, has seven life-size dinosaur models and other exhibits that match the primitive image of Sakurajima.
The park also has a 50-meter-long super jumbo slide and a field athletic track, making it a popular spot for children!

⑥Koshikano onsen
From Sakurajima Port, drive back toward Kirishima City, approximately 70 minutes; take a ferry and go via Kagoshima City, it takes 90 minutes.
Drive in the direction of Kirishima Jingu Shrine and you will find this hot spring.
Since its establishment in 1978, this hot spring has gained a reputation for the quality of its spring quality!
It is a sodium-hydrogencarbonate spring quality which removes unwanted keratin from the skin and dirt from the pores, and is therefore known as a hot spring for beautiful skin♪
Of course, the spring water is free-flowing!
