Unauthorized access has been confirmed in the reservation management system “TEMAIRAZU,” provided by Temairazu, Inc. (listed on the Standard Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange; securities code: 2477). This system is used by our resort and many other hotels and inns to manage accommodation reservations.
According to the company’s announcement, some guest information managed in the system may have been viewed or obtained by a third party as a result of this unauthorized access. The investigation is ongoing.
We sincerely apologize for the concern and anxiety caused by this incident involving a system used to manage our guests’ reservations.
■ Current Status
Temairazu, Inc. has announced that it identified the cause of the unauthorized access and implemented the necessary measures and security enhancements. The temporarily suspended functions have also been restored, and the company reports that the system is currently operating normally.
The company does not handle credit card information, and its system does not store such information. However, if you enter your card details on a website linked from a suspicious message, those details may be obtained by a third party. Please remain vigilant.
■ Please Be Alert to Suspicious Messages
According to Temairazu, Inc., there have been reports of messages impersonating accommodation properties or booking sites and directing guests to suspicious websites through messaging apps such as WhatsApp and WeChat, email, and SMS.
If you receive a message stating that “action is required to confirm your reservation” or “your reservation will be cancelled unless you pay,” or asking you to re-enter your credit card details or make an urgent payment, please do not:
・Open any URLs or links in the message.
・Enter your credit card details or personal information.
・Reply to the message.
・Make a payment or transfer funds as instructed.
Even if a message includes our property’s name or your actual reservation details, it may not be genuine.
■ Payment Instructions From Our Property
When advance payment is required, such as for additional orders or reservations made by telephone, we may send a payment URL by email, SMS, or another communication method.
However, we will not unexpectedly ask you to make a payment to keep your reservation without prior communication or notice.
If you receive payment instructions that you do not recognize, do not use the links or contact details in the message. Please contact us through our official inquiry form. If you booked through a booking site, you can check your reservation status through that site’s official website or app.
■ If You Have Already Entered Information or Made a Payment
If you have entered your credit card details on a suspicious website, please contact your card issuer promptly.
If you have transferred funds, such as by bank transfer, please contact your financial institution.
